Registration for the 2021 College LoL Season is Open!

The journey to the 2021 College Championship starts now. Registration is now open for the 2021 College LoL Season, and the best college players in NA are assembling their teams. It’s now time for club officers and varsity program leads to register their teams and see if their squad has what it takes to dethrone defending champions Maryville University and lift the College Championship Trophy.

Rules & Eligibility

We’ve already talked about the format and biggest changes in the 2021 Season Hub, and now we’re ready to share the full rules.

Code of Conduct: Unchanged from last year, all players and official staff members will be prompted to read and accept the College LoL Season Code of Conduct to participate as part of the registration process. Click here to read the 2021 College LoL Season Code of Conduct.

Conference Format: Each conference will have their own format document, which covers their regular season and playoffs format, structure, and schedule. Teemo Cup Format: Any team that doesn’t make their respective conference playoffs can enter the optional Teemo Cup tournament to compete for RP prizes. Click here to read the 2021 Teemo Cup Format.

Upcoming Information

More season info is on the way!  Here’s a quick reference of what else will be coming to you in the near future.

Partner Conferences: As we work with our partner conferences to put the finishing touches on their formats and agreements, we’ll be looking to share the final list of participating Partner Conferences and their competition formats before the end of the year.

College Championship Schedule: It’s coming soon!  We’re working with the NA Esports team to finalize dates for the College Championship, as well as contingency plans if NA isn’t ready for in-person competition by the time the Championship happens. We’re hoping that things will be safe enough to bring the top 8 schools to LA, but we’ll be ready to host the College Championship entirely online if we need to.

College Championship Selection Committee: As we announced last year, we will be assembling a panel of experts from the LCS and College LoL ecosystem to select the last four teams that advance to the College Championship, as well as have the authority to manually adjust seeding groups to better match the skill levels of teams across conferences. We’re still finalizing the schedule, but we can confirm that applications will open by early March.

How to Register

Are you a registered club officer or varsity program lead? A link to the registration page on Battlefy should already be reaching your email from collegiate@riotgames.com. We’ll be sending out periodic reminders, so if you register your club late, you can still receive the follow-up emails we’ll send out on November 13 and November 24. Be sure to read and understand the eligibility section of the official rules before you sign up to avoid any mistakes! You can also join the official season Discord to get live help with the registration process from Battlefy staff.
