Since 2018, Riot Games has partnered with the North American Scholastic Esports Federation (NASEF) to operate the Winter High School Scholastic League of Legends Tournament powered by NASEF. Today we’re announcing that this partnership has not been renewed, and League of Legends competition will no longer be offered in NASEF’s winter term.

We want to thank NASEF for being a great partner to Riot and the scholastic esports community. We wish them the best as they continue to deliver educational and competitive opportunities to students around the world.

Riot remains fully committed to supporting the continued growth of scholastic esports in North America. We are steadfast in our mission to make League of Legends a diverse, generational high school and college sport across North America, and we are excited for what’s to come in 2021 and beyond.

We recognize that this outcome may impact students who have previously participated in this competition, and we encourage these players to explore other League of Legends or NASEF programs.
