After serving on the Riot Scholastic Association of America’s Board of Advisors since the group’s inception in 2019, T.L. Taylor has stepped down from her role at the close of 2020. T.L.’s seat will temporarily remain open.

T.L. is Professor of Comparative Media Studies at MIT and co-founder of AnyKey, an organization dedicated to supporting and developing fair and inclusive esports.

In her advisory role with the RSAA, T.L. has been an influential advocate for student well-being, contributing to many RSAA initiatives over the past one and a half years. This includes adding an RSAA advisory board seat to include a high school educator perspective, expanded eligibility for the 2021 College LoL Season to include two-year colleges, the College LoL code of conduct, and programming changes throughout 2020 to protect students in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“It’s been a real honor and pleasure to work with my fellow advisors, and the scholastic team at Riot, on some of the critical issues facing esports in educational settings,” said Taylor. “Commitment to student well-being is so vital to this space and I’m glad the RSAA is there to continue to work on that front.”

Riot’s scholastic programs are in a better place because of T.L.’s contributions. The RSAA staff thanks her for her service.
