The Riot Scholastic Association of America has entered its third year of governing varsity competition for Riot’s games, and fostering the development of gaming as a meaningful part of the high school and college experience. To help us align our efforts with the needs of education and higher learning, we are seeking to expand the size and expertise of our board of advisors. Our board has been invaluable in our decision-making process, including the expansion of the College Championship, the creation of the Selection Committee, and increased transparency around our sportsmanship check process.
We are accepting applications for 1-2 additional seats on our board of advisors. We are strongly considering applicants with a background in high school, university faculty or administration, or diversity and inclusion research. The position is a volunteer, external advisory role. Responsibilities include monthly calls with RSAA staff and advisors, occasional follow-up work between meetings, and (under normal circumstances) in-person meetings several times per year, with all travel expenses covered by Riot.
