At last, College VALORANT is here! Registration is open, and the best college VALORANT players in NA are assembling their teams. Team captains and varsity program leads can start registering their teams to see if their squad has what it takes to be the first team to lift the College VALORANT Trophy.

Follow Along on the CVAL Web Hub

For players, faculty, fans, friends, and family, you can follow along with the College VALORANT Season on the official CVAL hub on Battlefy! The hub will be your one-stop-shop, showing results, upcoming matches, and links to register for all four regions, all school year long! Click here to see the CVAL Hub on Battlefy.

CVAL Discord Server

Like CLOL, the CVAL Discord will be the place for participating teams to keep up with season announcements, get support from tournament administrators, and contact other teams. All four regions will share the same server, with individual channels for each region. Click here to join the CVAL Discord.

Rules & Eligibility

We’ve already talked about the format and biggest changes on our 2023 VALORANT Season Info Page, and now we’re ready to share the full rules. Click on the red links below to view the respective documents.

Code of Conduct: All players and official staff members will be prompted to read and accept the RSAA Code of Conduct to participate as part of the registration process.

CVAL Season Rules & Format: Full information on season rules that apply to all participants, regardless of what region they compete in. Includes tournament format, player eligibility, match process, and more.

Region Selection

Each regional competition is based on VALORANT game servers and their local time zones. Teams may only enter one region per tournament, and are expected to enter the server that has the best connection and most relevant time zone to their physical location. Teams may agree to play individual matches on a different game server, subject to some limitations.

Teams may choose to change regions between tournaments, but doing so will forfeit all Championship Points earned from previous tournaments. Season Officials may block teams from switching regions to prevent situations where teams are seeking a competitive advantage other than better ping (no jumping regions to avoid strong opponents!).

Operations Partners

Each region will be run by one operations partner for the length of the season. All partners will use their own chosen platform for registration and tournament administration, but will share the CVAL Discord. Here is a brief introduction to some of this year’s partners:

North: eFuse

eFuse was founded in 2018 as a social network to connect gamers to each other and opportunities in esports and gaming. On the platform, you’ll find jobs, scholarships, giveaways, and opportunities to participate in other gaming-related activities. Available as a web and mobile application, eFuse provides tools to build unique gaming portfolios, collaborate professionally, access opportunities, and create content.

Our consistent branding allows us to stay true to who we are, and provide the industry with a look and feel that’s memorable, unique, and easy to digest. The esports and gaming industry was built on designs that expand past the corporate box, and we’d like to keep it that way.

East: Battlefy

Battlefy is home to 300,000+ esports communities and leagues globally. Collegiate has been a part of their DNA since 2014 and has grown since then to include programs and leagues that span over 1,200+ schools in the US. Their scholastic solution covers the end-to-end technology & operational needs for creating, managing, marketing, and monetizing collegiate programs.

South: Rally Cry

Rally Cry, a gaming technology company located in Southern California, builds inclusive gaming experiences for players of all ages and skill levels. The company’s platform and leagues offer organized ways for gamers to connect, play and compete with each other. Rally Cry’s industry veteran engineers, designers, and visionaries are passionate about scholastic esports and have produced some of the most iconic events in esports. The team believes gaming is a force for good and focuses on building esports through community. Rally Cry has partnered with organizations such as the US Air Force, Learfield, Boy Scouts of America, Van Wagner and National Football League.

More info to come about the fourth partner very soon.
